Wednesday April 30, 2014 - Ft Lauderdale, FL to Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport

It's departure day at last.  We have been planning this trip for a long time so we are both so excited that the beginning is here.  Now to savor every moment.

Everything is packed, all of the travel plans and vouchers are organized day by day, and the condo is ready for us to leave.  Emilie and Guillaume did a magnificent job in preparing lots of options for our time in France.  We received 2 spiral-bound books with over 700 pages of information, reservations, activities, and directions.  We are excited to get started.

Fernando picked us up for the short trip to Miami International Airport.  We are flying American business class and I'm hoping I have a comfortable seat so I can get some sleep tonight.  It was great having a good driver as we made it from Ft Lauderdale to MIA in about 35 minutes.  In fact we left our condo and were in the Business Class Lounge in less than an hour.

Time for a couple of glasses of wine in the lounge only to find out that the flight was delayed.  We finally loaded up over an hour late an then it took a long time to take off.

Smooth flight - I watched "The Wolf of Wall Street" - highly entertaining and probably a lot of truth.  Tim watched "12 Years A Slave" and then we were off to sleep.

We'll wake up in Paris on May Day - Thursday May 1, 2014.
